Term save plus:

Term Save Plus offers one of the most attractive interest rates around, giving you the potential to really earn interest on your money. So if you have a lump sum of money that you can afford to put away for at least two years, Term Save Plus is the investment account for you. A minimum investment of only R1000 is needed.

Interest is fixed for the duration of the investment term 24 months and will be adjusted to the going rate upon renewal. Interest is calculated on a simple interest rate basis, ie interest is calculated for the duration of the investment on the deposit amount only and not on previous interest earned. Interest is credited to the customer's Postbank Smart Save account or any Postbank card account – i.e. Postbank Flexi, Postbank Pension Flexi or Postbank Mzansi at the end of each investment term of 24 months or every six months (The lower rate will apply to the six months option). Note that the investment period will automatically renew for another 24 months unless you choose to redeem your funds by application at a Post Office counter.

• Minimum investment of R1000.
• No maximum investment.
• Minimum investment term is 24 months.
• Investment period will automatically renew for another 24 months or you can choose to redeem your funds at a Post Office counter.
• Interest is paid  (i.e. 24 months or 6 months) into a Postbank book (Smart Save or Bakgotsi) account or Postbank card account (i.e. Flexi or Pension Flexi).

MAKE IT WORK FOR YOU:

Term Save Plus really offers an attractive interest rate, so if you get a lump sum of money this is one of the best places to put it. The investment term is fixed for 24 months so make sure that you won’t be needing these funds for at least two years. Remember that your Term Save Plus will automatically renew for another two years, if you don’t want to do this you must apply for redemption of your funds.
